J-Family works in partnership with JCC's, Federations, Temples and Synagogues of all denominations, as well as Chavurahs, and individuals in creating
programs tailor made to meet the needs of their community.

Rabbi Josh & Aviva Kohl, Directors The Kohls come to the creation of J-Family after nearly two decades of work in the Jewish community. Their involvement in Jewish organizations has taken them to places far afield as Budapest, Hungary, Jerusalem, Israel, and Dallas, Texas. In Los Angeles, they founded the Valley Jewish Learning Center, a pandenominational education center which provided educational resources and opportunities to every level of the Jewish family. Over the past 6 years, they have developed and run To Kindle a Soul Parenting Seminars throughout North America and trained parents and Jewish educators in this life-altering methodology. The Kohls are also trained by the PAIRS Institute for Marriage Education as Marriage Educators and have brought this profound system to many of their varied programs. These tested and researched approaches to family enrichment will serve at the core of J-Family's Educational Programming. In addition to her educational work, Aviva, a Licensed Social Worker, has had a small private practice in psychotherapy. The Kohls, along with their 5 children, live in Rockland County, New York. They look forward to connecting with the myriad of families that will take advantage of their newest brainchild, The Jewish Family Enrichment Project.
